Spring Cleaning the Ol' Photos

I was going through my photos on my compy to better organize them and I made a file for all the clothes that I have made/altered. Then I thought that I should share some. Some of these I have posted in the past, and some never seen before but I wanted a post with them all together.

A good chunk of my photos are pretty much selfies. I don't like to bother my hubby with picture taking, and besides, most of my creations are made on my days off when he is at work.

I VERY, VERY rarely pose for photos, for I am NOT photogenic. But I was very proud of my outfits and wanted pictures.
This was something I wore to an Emilie Autumn concert. (I really like black, but it's hard to photograph detail.)
I made the hat, necklace and corset.

Here is another outfit with the same corset.
Plus, I made the wrist warmers (cut up shirt sleeve) and the polka dot skirt. That was a lot harder then I thought it was going to be to make. But it does show off the petticoat underneath.

This is the back view. It is reversible. It's pretty much a waist cincher, but still does the job.
And here it is reversed (I also made the necklace in this photo).

These awesome bloomers are my favorite piece of clothing EVER! They are made out of calico print dress I took apart.

I had a plain and boring black spaghetti dress that I took and added pink tulle and polka dot strip of fabric to the hem.

This one is an old tee shirt that I folded and sewn into a halter top. I didn't get a back view, but it is cut into straps and tied. It's a nice warm weather shirt.
A close up of the hat from the first photo. It's made out of foam board and sewn together and embellished.

The hat from the second photo. It's a man's hat so it is too big, so I wear my hair in pig tails so it stays up higher on my head. I made the embellishment.

Same hat with brighter more cheerful colors. I really loved how these turned out.

I don't know how I came up with some of these back then before Pinterest. LOL!

Thank you for spending a little time with me and my walk down memory lane. :)

Mister Simon

Previously I made a post about the baby gifts that I made for a friend. This post is pretty much the same thing but for another friend.
I came to the conclusion that I really enjoy making baby stuff. Everything is miniature, it's so freaking cute!
Alright, move along I'm done squealing.

Mister Simon was introduced to the world back at the end of May.

I made a box bag, bunting, appliqued a tote, embroidered a onesie and a couple of burp clothes.

She had a couple of themes and I completely ignored them ;)

She loved everything!

This is the second box bag that I have ever made and it turned out better then the first one.
Practice makes prefect, right?

I posted a tutorial on how to make these here.

I drew up this little guy in a snap and appliqued him onto a canvas bag.

I draw better in straight lines.

I just had to embroider a onesie.

And Cinnamon just had to "help" by laying on the stuff.

New addition to my craft corner

Meet my newest addition to my craft corner (I have to share a room with the hubby). :)

This little guy makes me happy.

My sewing machine cover needed an update. So I simply added this fun felt guy.

Now it makes me want to clean up the rest of my corner. Oh boy that's a chore! :)

Hard Work Pays Off

French knots.
Are the devil.

But if you practice long enough and hard enough, they become your bitch.

I stitches up another Jenny Hart design for one of my friends for christmas.
It's one of those doorknob hanger thingy that I like making so much. I mean, come on, it's a tiny pillow on some string.

After a while the french knots became so freaking easy that I didn't even think about them anymore. They no longer have any control over me!
I added a couple sequins to the tear drops to make it sparkle.

After I took the photos I realized that I had a big old string sitting on it. lol

Ha ha! Something new to post!

I moment that I laid eyes on this design in Embroidered Effects by Jenny Hart, I HAD to stitch it!

I had a pitifully plain v neck tee shirt that was screaming for embellishment. And the design was the perfect size that fit from the should to the *ahem* boob. (Yeah, I said it)

I used some white sequins as a finishing touch (I'm not a sequins kinda gal, but it worked).
