This post is not a cross stitch project for once. But it does involve a needle (and pins)and thread!
I've wanted one of these for a long time. I just never wanted to buy one. I thought to myself a while that I would make one, and then I forgot all about it. Typical me.
I took me about 10 minutes tops to make it. I put a piece of cardboard in it so I wouldn't poke myself every time I would use it.
I used some stuff that I just had laying around. Scrape fabric, thin cardboard, and elastic.
It was very easy. I use my sewing machine, and just hand stitched the end. And Ta Da!
I want to make more now. Maybe I'll make one for my sister and my mom.

Sugar and Spice!
Wow, sorry it's been nearly a month since my last post but this post what show you why I haven't posted in a while. :)
It is called Sugar and Spice. It was designed by Dale Burdett. It's the second design that I have done by her and I love her stuff. (although some looked a little dated but that's ok, thay are for the 80's)
It was stitched on 14 ct. aida
It's designed for an oval frame. But I'm not going to frame it.
I stitched this for my sister. She wants to do Holly Hobby type decorations for her kitchen, and when I saw this one I knew that she would love it.
This project has had the most french knots ::shudder:: in one design that I have ever done! And I'm very happy to say, er, type that I have gotten over my aversion to french knots. YAY!
::does happy dance::
They are on her bonnet, bloomers and apron.
