Christmas gifts of 2012

First I would like to apologize for the lack of posts last month. I had some family issues that took precedents over this blog. But everything is pretty much back to normal now.

Phew! ::wipes sweat from brow::

Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Handmade goodness!

I drew this design up awhile ago.

Heart with wings.
I kinda have a mini tutorial for this one in the queue. :)

I'm not really all that thrilled with how this one came out. At least it's neat and tidy.

I did a simplistic outline with this one.
All those french knots!

These are the whole products. They are clothes hanger covers.
You may remeber the top design.

Yet another box bag. (I'm kinda addicted)

A Union Jack trivet (mug rug).

Yet another set of bags.

I normally bake for my family for Christmas, but this year my parents are on a special diet and can't stray from it.

My mom liked the bags that I have made before and asked me to make some for her for Christmas instead of sweets.

I used my resent Hobby Lobby stash to make these, now I need more zippers if I want to make more. lol!

I used a fusible lightweight interfacing to help keep it's shape.

My mom's not a very pink kinda lady, so I went with the grey on the outside, but I use pink as an accent on the outside to kinda tie it together.

I feel comfortable posting this now, because she asked me to make them and she doesn't really ever read my blog. :)

Yet Another Boxy Bag

This one is the very first project that I did using my brand new sewing machine. Start to finish.

This is the best bag that I have made to date! It is very neat and tidy.

I used a blanket stitch to finish the raw edges. This makes it look semi professional.

This is the third time that I have made this bag and this one out shines the other two.

Left: first one that I ever made
 Right: the new one.

I love how nice and finished the inside stitches look.
